POSITION PURPOSE

As a Concierge Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and smooth operation of a corporate environment. This position combines security expertise with exceptional customer service skills to create an optimal experience for clients and stakeholders. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment while providing top-tier concierge services to visitors, clients, and staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Concierge Duties:

  • Greet internal and external customers, ensuring seamless sign-in and check-in processes.
  • Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate team members.
  • Book and manage meeting rooms through the online system to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist with CCTV footage requests and conduct routine floor checks to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Perform car park patrols to monitor site safety and security.
  • Provide escorts for guests and contractors, ensuring access protocols are followed.
  • Monitor site access to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Provide regular service delivery progress updates to clients.
  • Develop and nurture strong client relationships, fostering a positive work culture.
  • Address and resolve client complaints, documenting all issues effectively.
  • Propose process improvements to enhance both service delivery and team performance.
  • Write detailed incident reports, hazard reports, and shift logs.

 

Security Officer Duties:

  • Conduct internal and external patrols to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
  • Supervise and escort contractors/vendors, ensuring they follow security protocols.
  • Respond to incidents such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, and lockdown situations.
  • Manage locker facilities, ensuring proper security and reporting any faults.
  • Handle investigations and perform spot checks to ensure compliance with security procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Mandatory:

  • NV2 Security Clearance
  • ACT Security License
  • Certificate II in Security Operations
  • First Aid Certificate (current)
  • Valid ACT Driver’s License
  • Australian citizenship due to government clearance requirements.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with security systems (e.g., Gallagher, Forcefield, Genetec, Tru Vision)
  • Experience within a corporate or commercial security setting

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar security role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proven ability to handle security-related incidents, emergencies, and customer service inquiries effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond efficiently to emergency situations.
  • Availability to work both day and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Willingness and ability to work a 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern (12-hour shifts), covering both day and night shifts.
