POSITION PURPOSE

 

As a Concierge Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, visitors, and assets while delivering exceptional customer service. You will manage access control, maintain a visible security presence, and provide assistance to visitors, contractors, and staff in a professional and approachable manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Greet and assist internal and external customers, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Sign in visitors and maintain accurate records of all site access.
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to general inquiries, forwarding calls to the appropriate team members.
  • Book and manage meeting rooms through an online system to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist with CCTV footage requests and conduct regular floor checks to ensure site security.
  • Conduct car park patrols and monitor the security of all vehicles on-site.
  • Escort guests and contractors as needed, ensuring proper access and safety procedures are followed.
  • Prevent unauthorized access by ensuring only permitted individuals enter the site.
  • Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders on the progress of service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with CBRE and their representatives to ensure smooth operations.
  • Promote a proactive and responsive service culture, delivering excellence in customer service at all times.
  • Effectively handle client complaints, ensuring issues are analyzed, resolved, and documented for mutual satisfaction.
  • Enhance team performance by identifying and recommending process improvements to resolve any team challenges.
  • Proactively recommend improvements to existing services or the introduction of new services to align with operational goals.
  • Write clear, detailed incident reports, hazard reports, and shift logs to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft applications and use the client’s software systems effectively.
  • Always represent and promote the company, always maintaining professionalism and integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Mandatory:

  • Active NV1 security clearance.
  • ACT Security License
  • Certificate II in Security Operations
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate (current)
  • Valid ACT Driver's License
  • Australian citizenship due to government clearance requirements.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial/corporate environment (tenant or base building).
  • Experience in incident management, including fire alarm responses, handling difficult persons, access control breaches, and working with emergency services.
  • Knowledge of and skill in the use of computers and security systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience within a corporate or commercial security setting.
