Position Purpose
Baggage Assistances are essential to the seamless functioning of Checked Baggage Screening and airport operations, working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. Working with the Checked Baggage Screening team to ensure that all bags are safely screened and make the required flightssafely, securely and on-time.
Position Overview
Workplace Health & Safety
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and the health and safety of other people in the workplace
- Comply with health and safety policies and procedures, including the investigation and reporting of hazards and incidents to your manager
- Comply with any reasonable instruction related to health and safety
- Do not interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of health and safety
- Understand and reinforce the requirements of WH&S to keep our people safe
- Meet company WHS requirements
Key Responsibilities

Ensuring safety-focused luggage transfers between screening and airlines

Transportation of important cargo

Assist with the screening processes for checked baggage

Maintain a safe and secure working environment at all times.

Safely operate Ground Services Equipment

Qualification
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- NSW Security Industry Licence 1A/1A Provisional
- Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- NSW Driver’s Licence Class C
- Category 2 Authority to Drive certified desirable
