Position Purpose

Security Officer, Gate House Sydney Airport Control Tower. Responsible for controlling entry and egress to the Air Services Control Tower and facilities at Sydney Airport. Checking identification and ASIC’s issuing visitor passes and ASIC’s. Responding to local, state and National Alarms using Gallagher. Organising Mobile Patrols to respond to Alarms. Conducting Foot Patrols of the facility. Recording all daily activities and visitors via Air Services daily reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring CCTV and alarms via Gallagher
  • Confirming eligibility of persons entering site and buildings as per client and government policies, checking AIC and ASIC identification.
  • Responding to Alarms and Incidents at client sites Nationally, organizing Mobile Patrol’s and Guarding as required
  • Access card generation and management including deactivation and record keeping
  • Issuing and checking ASIC cards.
  • Escalate Incidents to the respective site Manager and Security Managers
  • The successful candidate must have the ability to read situations and act accordingly, be able to show empathy and have a willingness to help / intervene where necessary.
  • Shift timings are 24/7 rotating roster including Public Holidays

Qualification

  • Certificate II in Security Operations
  • Provide First Aid
  • Current Drivers Licence

Experience

  • At least 2 years similar experience in a Control room or busy Gate House
  • Evidence based customer service training
