Gatehouse Security Officer

Position Purpose

The Gatehouse Security Officer ensures site security and safety by managing access control, monitoring systems, and conducting patrols in line with Certis Security Australia's standards and legal requirements. This must be done in compliance with MTOFSA rules and regulations, the approved maritime security plan, and the site traffic management plans.

Location: Port Botany, NSW 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage vehicle and pedestrian access, issue visitor/staff passes
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and conduct internal/external foot patrols
• Respond to security incidents and WHS concerns
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and communication records
• Ensure compliance with site induction and access protocols
• Provide perimeter security and traffic control

Qualification

Mandatory Qualifications:

• A Certificate II in Security Operations
• State current and applicable Security license
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
• Must hold a license to work as a security guard, being a license that was issued or recognized by the relevant State or Territory and that is in force.
• Occupational First Aid - Level 3
• Current Valid driving license - as required
