Management Accountant - Aviation

Position Purpose
Provide support with month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and costing processes, including the sourcing and analysis of financial and non-financial data. The role will contribute to a range of tasks and projects within the Aviation Finance team, including assisting with the integration and transition to SAP S/4HANA. Leveraging extensive SAP experience, the role will assist in streamlining processes, identifying and resolving system issues, and ensuring accurate configuration and reporting throughout the transition

Key Responsibilities
Month-End, Forecasting and KPI reporting
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports and forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis and deliver meaningful commentary to explain results.
• Produce Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports for designated airports.
• Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with business performance metrics.
Costing and Budgeting
• Assist with the preparation of client costing, including gathering and interpreting relevant information in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, collaborating with business stakeholders and the Finance Aviation team.
SAP Integration (SAP S/4HANA Integration Support)
• Provide hands-on support to the Finance Aviation team during the SAP S/4HANA implementation
• Assist with system configuration reviews, UAT testing, and process mapping to ensure business needs are met.
• Support the migration of data and validation of financial results during system cutover and post go-live activities.
Ad hoc tasks
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial and non-financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create tailored reports that provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts and payroll data, identifying material variances or findings.
• Enter General Ledger and Payroll Journals.
• Assist with various ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the finance aviation team.
• Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Qualification
Accounting degree + CPA/CA or studying towards
Skills
Madatory
• Advanced Excel skills
• Power BI skills
• Strong working knowledge of SAP, preferably S/4HANA, with experience in system implementations or transitions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge
Experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Working in medium to large organisation
• Working in small teams
