Position Purpose

The Resource Planner is responsible in effectively coordinating the forward planning of rosters and operational deployments within the National Operations Centre (NOC).
You will be supporting A network of Security Officers and Customers, ensure all forward planning of rosters are opened and published, identify resource shortfalls, and excellent customer service is provided to all stakeholders.

This role is a permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday with working hours falling between 08:00 and 18:00, start and finish times as agreed with your Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Update permanent rosters on the Rostering Systems when there are changes in the permanent deployment.
  • Allocate/cover rosters nationally 2-4 weeks in advance.
  • Termination for Account/Service of rosters.
  • Data entry all confirmed Resource Contractor rosters.
  • Annual Leave coverage.
  • Roster Publication.
  • Liaise with customers and resource contractor (RC) regarding security requirements and ensuring customer expectations are met on ad-hoc request.
  • Ensure positive interaction with all internal stakeholders such as State Operations Managers, Client Service Managers, Payroll and Billing.
  • Analysing deployments to find efficiencies.
  • Ensure the rosters meet legislative requirements and internal policies in terms of fatigue management.
  • Open and publish rosters for employees nationally.
  • Participate in weekly planning handover to Deployment Team.

Qualification

Desirable

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an operation/rostering environment
  • Certificate in Business Administration
  • Advanced MS Excel Qualifications
  • Understanding of basic Analytics

Experience

  • Recording information and report writing
  • Working in a team environment
  • Previous experience within a manpower provider would be advantageous
  • General administration functions

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the Security Industry (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the Security Services Industry Award 2010
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using MS Word and MS Excel
  • Exposure to rostering packages (essential)
  • Superior communication skills, written, verbal, and reporting.
  • Knowledge in the operation of a computer-based roster system
  • Beginner Data analysis and Statistics knowledge: Measures of Central Tendency
