Position Purpose

Certis is seeking a Security Officer/ Rover for a (Level 4) Full Time role, to provide asset protection and ensure all stakeholders attending Site are within a safe and incident free environment.

An exciting new opportunity has become available, we are seeking an experienced and licensed Corporate Security Officer. You will be employed at Macquarie Bank Campus in the CBD on a full-time basis, with sites all being walking distance around Martin Place. Roster: (2 weeks day 6am-6pm and 2 weeks night 6pm to 6am - 84 hours p/f )

Beginning as a Rover there is an opportunity to develop into a Control Room Operator for the suitable candidate. Initial training and ongoing support will be offered with a plan to develop the skillset of high performing guards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce physical access control and manage contractor escorts

  • Conduct staff ID/pass spot checks and white-level inspections

  • Monitor for access breaches and suspicious activity

  • Support asset protection and incident response (medical, fire, lockdown)

  • Deliver excellent customer service—greet and assist staff/visitors

  • Manage and report faults, maintenance issues, and security incidents

  • Operate and monitor CCTV and alarm/access control systems

  • Uphold site policies and restricted area protocols

  • Escalate and communicate incidents professionally

Qualification

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Preferably prior experience in dealings with major stakeholders
  • Prefer minimum 2 years’ experience within Security Industry
  • NSW Class 1AC Security Licence and current First Aid certificate
  • Availability for AM/PM shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Professional appearance and a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Exceptional customer service focus with conflict resolution experience
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
  • Knowledge of WHS and emergency response procedures
  • Strong report writing and administrative skills
  • Physically fit, adaptable, and a quick learner
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
