Security Officer - Level 4

Position Purpose

We are seeking a professional and reliable Security Officer to join the QBE on-site security team. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment for staff, visitors, and contractors during standard business hours. You will represent QBE Protective Security with professionalism, ensuring high standards of service, vigilance, and communication.

 

This is a Level 4 Casual Role based in Parramatta, NSW.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site checks and patrols to ensure all access points and perimeters are secure
  • Maintain accurate records in the QBE reporting system, including daily logs and incident reports
  • Provide a strong security presence at the front desk and assist with corporate services as required
  • Manage access cards (temporary and contractor) and support the Card Services team with programming requirements
  • Escort authorised visitors and contractors within the premises
  • Liaise with facilities, base building management, and contractors for maintenance and site works
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms in accordance with QBE procedures
  • Identify and report WH&S issues and potential risks
  • Educate and encourage staff and contractors to comply with security and ID protocols
  • Support evacuations and emergency responses as directed by QBE management
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and QBE Protective Security

Qualification

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current NSW Security Licence
  • Current First Aid
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Basic computer literacy (for reporting and logging systems)
  • Experience in a corporate security environment (highly regarded)
