Position Purpose

Certis Security Australia is seeking a talented and strategic Business Development Manager, in Melbourne or Sydney, to lead sales and business development initiatives in our Security operations business.  As the Business Development Manager, you’ll take the lead in driving sales and business development within a designated primary industry segment, while also identifying and expanding opportunities across several secondary segments. This role focuses on acquiring new business, increasing market share, and maximising revenue and gross profit within targeted industries. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and execute growth strategies, position Certis as a trusted partner in security solutions, and capitalise on emerging market opportunities.

  • Experience in the security industry is desired but not essential; an appreciation for Security and ability to think laterally and cross industry experience essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to secure new business opportunities.
  • Focus on high-value contracts to drive revenue growth and improve margins.
  • Maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline development and conversion.
  • Build and implement value-based sales strategies for industry segments.
  • Design and implement engagement plans for prospective clients.
  • Foster relationships to enhance brand perception and position Certis as a partner of choice.
  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans for priority clients.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitor activity.
  • Lead coordination of tenders and proposals.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop integrated strategies.
  • Liaise with internal teams to identify joint opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM.
  • Ensure adherence to contract review and signing processes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
