Gatehouse Security Officer

Position Purpose

Join Certis Security Australia as a Gatehouse Security Officer – Level 3 and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security at Team Global Express in Altona North, Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

Role: Gatehouse Security Officer – Level 3
Location: Altona North, VIC

We are seeking dedicated security professionals to join our team at Team Global Express in VIC, performing critical access control and gatehouse operations. In this role, you will:
🔹 Manage vehicle movement, pedestrian access, and site visitor control
🔹 Issue and track staff, contractor, and visitor security passes
🔹 Conduct internal and external foot patrols to maintain site integrity
🔹 Monitor CCTV, WHS systems, and respond to site alarms
🔹 Report and escalate security risks, incidents, and breaches
🔹 Carry out administration duties including incident logs, daily reports, and email correspondence
🔹 Ensure all personnel entering the site are inducted and authorised
🔹 Respond to access, fire, and BMS alarms in accordance with site protocols
🔹 Perform traffic control duties and monitor perimeter security

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

✅ Current and valid Security Licence (relevant to VIC or state of operation)
✅ Current First Aid Certificate (Senior Level)
✅ Current VIC Driver’s Licence
✅ Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar gatehouse or access control role
✅ Strong computer literacy, including MS Office proficiency
✅ Excellent communication skills – verbal & written, and customer service skills
✅ 24/7 availability to work on a rotating roster
✅ Ability to self-supervise and operate under pressure
✅ Report writing and presentation skills
✅ Australian/New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, and visa holders with full working rights

Desirable:

• Prior experience working in high-security or industrial/commercial environments
• Familiarity with CCTV and electronic access control systems
