Retail Security Officer

Position Purpose
Certis Security is seeking Security Officers to join them in servicing a major national retailer. We currently have roles available across a number of stores in Sydney, NSW. Bring your customer service experience to the Security industry and kick start your career today.
Workplace Health & Safety

Key Responsibilities
- Providing a high quality visual security presence at client locations
- Conduct foot patrols of the stores
- Responding to and de-escalating anti-social behaviour
- Respond to security emergencies
- Maintaining log of incident reports
- Completing necessary paperwork
- Conduct incident investigations in a timely manner and ensure that SecurityIncident Reports are completed and submitted
- Provide a customer service approach and maintain a fair, courteous andrespectful manner in dealing with clients and customers
- Demonstrate knowledge and competence in the implementation of emergencyprocedures
- Use of computer systems and communication tools
Qualification
- Current Security Licence
- Cert II in Security Operations
- First Aid Certificate
- Full working rights in Australia
- Experience in retail environments highly advantageous
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Available retail trading hours, including evening trading

Knowledge
- Detailed knowledge of the Site-Specific SOPs and Safe Work Method Statements
- Working knowledge of the General SOPs Part 1
- Detailed knowledge of traffic movements, other stakeholders contact details and PPE
- Awareness of site access including commuting requirements
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years general security experience and 1 years in retail security experience
- Electronic reporting of shift logs and rostering access
