Cargo Screening Officer

POSITION PURPOSE
As a Cargo Screening Officer, you will be responsible for supporting cargo screening operations at the Welshpool, WA client site, working Monday to Friday in a 4-hour shift. You will conduct thorough cargo screening on freight, following the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and utilizing provided screening equipment. Your role will ensure that service delivery and security standards are maintained with the highest level of efficiency, without delay or compromise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct Cargo Freight Screening with precision and attention to detail.
- Operate Cargo Screening Equipment, including X-ray and ETD, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
- Accurately record screening information to maintain compliance and security standards.
- Work Monday to Friday, 4-hour daytime shifts.
- Carry out thorough screening of cargo to meet security requirements.
- Ensure the correct use and handling of screening equipment.
- Configure screening equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain accurate recording of all screening data.
- Stay informed and adhere to SOPs and EACE notices.
- Collaborate effectively while working in a small team to achieve common goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory
- Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (AVI20118) (RTO ID 45583)
- First Aid and CPR Certificate (current)
- Valid WA Driver's License
- Previous Cargo or passenger screening experience
Desirable
- Experience with X-ray and screening equipment
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Knowledge of Cargo Screening Equipment and use
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for screening of goods
- Knowledge of Screening levels and contingencies

- At least 1 year in a similar role, with a focus on security or screening operations.
