Security Officer

POSITION PURPOSE

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the Metcash, TGE Sites (Kingsford Smith and Hazelmere), and Airservices Sites. Your role involves ensuring the protection of people and property, responding promptly to incidents, and maintaining a high standard of security services while providing excellent customer service to both clients and the public.

This is a casual role, ideal for individuals looking for flexibility and an opportunity to contribute to the safety of diverse environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Incident Investigation & Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and submit timely Security Incident Reports.
• Emergency Procedures: Demonstrate proficiency in the implementation of emergency procedures during incidents.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service by maintaining a courteous, respectful, and professional manner with clients and customers.
• Public Protection: Ensure public safety by adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols and maintaining social distancing guidelines.
• Security Escorts: Provide security escorts when required, ensuring the safety and security of individuals.
• Breach & Incident Reporting: Record and report any security breaches or incidents, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts with a problem-solving approach and escalate situations to supervisors when necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment to achieve security objectives and client satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory:

• A current and valid WA Security License
• Certificate II in Security Operations
• Valid First Aid Certificate with current CPR
• Current full WA Drivers License
• Full working rights in Australia

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a similar security role.
• Current ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in security operations or a similar role is highly desirable.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing work environments and situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage conflict and provide customer service.
• Proficient in using basic computer systems such as Email, Word, and Excel.
