POSITION PURPOSE

 

Join Certis Australia as a Security Supervisor, responsible for overseeing the security operations at a large-scale warehouse and distribution facility in Canning Vale. The Security Supervisor ensures the safety and security of the site, managing a team of security personnel, and ensuring that security systems operate efficiently and effectively. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-managed environment for both the client and their staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee staff and contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with safety and security requirements.
  • Monitor and manage CCTV, access control, and visitor management systems to safeguard the facility.
  • Issue and manage access cards, keys, and security clearance levels for staff and contractors.
  • Maintain the visitor pass system, ensuring only authorized and inducted individuals gain access to the site.
  • Conduct regular internal and external foot and vehicle patrols to ensure perimeter security is maintained.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and escalations from security systems, investigate breaches or suspicious activities, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Perform checks on parking areas and external premises, addressing any security concerns that arise.
  • Maintain accurate logs, including incident reports, event logs, daily checks, and security breach reports.
  • Provide administrative support by managing emails, incident reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • Identify, assess, and report potential security risks to the client and Client Services Manager.
  • Assist in the coordination of security-related training and development programs for the security team.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the overall security operations of the site.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Mandatory:

  • Current WA Certificate II Security License
  • Current WA First Aid Certification
  • Full WA Driver’s License

 

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in security supervision in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience with client relationship management
  • Ability to perform administrative duties, including report writing and system updates

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security supervisory or similar role.
  • Proven ability to manage security systems and operations in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in response to security incidents.
  • Australian/New Zealand citizen, permanent Australian resident, or valid visa holder to work in Australia.
  • Ability to pass a medical test.
