Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for annual policy renewals and brokers engagement, including the end-to-end process of raising Purchase Orders and ensuring timely payments.
- Review and advise on insurance clauses in tenders and contracts.
- Manage insurance claims from registration to final settlement; liaise with loss adjustors, insurers, brokers including review claims report, verify reasonableness of claims
- Manage claims and loss control issues including close communication and collaboration with business units to highlight claims/loss control issues promptly.
- Partner stakeholders to drive continuous review of insurance coverage to ensure alignment with the dynamic changes in business requirements.
- Adopt data analytics to identify actionable insights and/or trends within the Group and/or the general insurance industry.
- Maintain and review existing workflows and processes to enhance productivity.
- Engage and build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, brokers / insurers to manage all insurance programmes.
- Keep abreast of key developments in the insurance industry and provide advisory support to stakeholders in all emerging insurance issues.
- Provide training and presentations on all matters relating to insurance to keep internal stakeholders abreast of any new updates.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary education, preferably with degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting. Must possess Certificate of General Insurance (BCP, CommGI, PGI, HI), or any other relevant insurance qualifications.
- 1 - 3 years of working experience, preferably in the insurance broking or underwriting. Candidates with experience in placing insurance programmes and/or handling insurance claims will be advantageous.
- Ability to take a holistic view on issues faced, possessing strong analytical, financial and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent spoken and written proficiency in English, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Resilient, highly adaptable to dynamic work environments, with strong ability to influence and garner support and cooperation.
- Meticulous, good planning and documentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook).
