Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Lead the Accounts Payable (AP) team in Group Shared Services; ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices, payments, claims, refunds and vendor reconciliations.
  • Manage AP month-end close (sub-ledger close, accruals, reconciliations) and coordinate month/year-end requirements with Group Finance.
  • Ensure AP processes and documentation comply with local statutory and filing requirements.
  • Monitor and report AP KPIs (DPO, on-time payments, GR/IR ageing, PO vs non-PO adoption, OCR accuracy) and deliver monthly management reports.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve disputes, unreconciled items and exceptions within agreed timelines.
  • Support audits and respond to internal/external audit queries promptly.
  • Drive process improvement, automation and digitalisation initiatives.
  • Support SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA migration (testing, UAT, hypercare, change management).

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyse AP metrics (invoice turnaround, DPO, GR ageing, vendor performance) to identify trends, root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards/reports using Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud).
  • Prepare management presentations for operational reviews and project updates.

Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Support automation initiatives (OCR, RPA, SAP S/4HANA) via workshops, UAT and process documentation.
  • Identify control/process gaps, implement best practices, and improve accuracy, timeliness and efficiency.
  • Contribute to transformation workshops and continuous improvement forums.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work with BUs, Procurement, Finance and vendors to resolve payment and operational issues.
  • Provide timely updates and proactive issue management across stakeholders.
  • Coach junior team members on policies, processes and systems as required.

Ad-hoc

  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses, reconciliations and management reports.
  • Represent AP in cross-functional projects and process alignment meetings.
