Duties & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
Provide an overview of the nature of the role and how the role contributes to the department and company goals
Supports Business Unit to make use of technology to reduce cost, increase profitability, improve efficiency and streamline processes.
- Planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
- Defining the program's governance arrangements
- Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the program - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the program, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programs and corporate, technical and specialist standards
- Managing the program’s budget on behalf of the SRO, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realized benefits as the program progresses
- Facilitating the appointment of individuals to project teams
- Ensuring the delivery of new products or services from projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the program plan and program governance arrangements
- Ensuring there is allocation of common resources and skills within the program's individual projects
- Managing third party contributions to the program
- Managing communications with all stakeholders
- Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects
- Managing risks to the program’s successful outcome
- Working with the business change manager or equivalent on the transition to the new business as usual position
- Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the program are identified or issues arise
- Reporting the progress of the program at regular intervals to the SRO or program director if this role is also defined
Some of the job scope include:
- Participate in tender solutioning, pre-sales, project management, operation and support for specific business unit
- Participate in BU internal tech projects, coordinating internal stakeholders with ops-tech integrators, and conduct requirement gathering, drafting of project charter, approval seeking, project implementation and maintenance (for 6mth after the project is completed.)
- Perform discovery study on all BU systems (legacy and new) and plan for consolidation of data centre and eventual migration to Certis AWS landing zone
- Serve as single point of contact for attached BU for any technology related manner, and coordinate sister departments such as GIS
- Perform on-prem system migration to AWS cloud
- Work with the technical team for strategic projects which comprises next-gen contact centre, Argus for, etc.
- Take part in all tenders bids
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent education and/or work experience
- Min 3 years direct work experience in program with Software management capacity including all aspects of design thinking for processes and delivery of programs.
- Strong familiarity with any project management software.
- Competent and proficient understanding in IT network, Systems, Cloud platforms and Telecommunications
- Min 3 years of experience in software development (.Net, Java, Outsystems and native Cloud developments)
- Hands-on experience in network /security-related tasks such as OS tightening, patching and updating, virus scanning will be an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge on network and systems issues and ability to offer advisories and troubleshooting support.
- Good communication skills and positive working attitude
