Duties & Responsibilities
- Own the operational and financial performance of assigned projects, ensuring delivery against revenue, profitability and productivity targets.
- Monitor project financials including manpower costs, overtime, operational expenditure and resource utilization.
- Identify risks, opportunities and cost optimization initiatives to improve project margins.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning exercises.
- Prepare monthly business performance reports and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of assigned projects to consistently achieve contractual KPIs and service level agreements.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that improve productivity, quality and customer experience.
- Drive process improvement initiatives through Lean, Design Thinking or digitalization efforts.
- Ensure adequate manpower planning, rostering and resource deployment.
- Lead incident management, business continuity planning and operational recovery during crises.
- Serve as the primary operational partner to clients and key stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships through regular business reviews, operational meetings and site engagements.
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively recommend service enhancements.
- Manage escalations professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Support contract renewals, variation proposals and business expansion opportunities.
- Lead, coach and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Executives and Supervisors.
- Build a strong succession pipeline by identifying and developing high-potential employees.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous learning.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching conversations and career development planning.
- Drive employee engagement, retention and recognition initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Oversee audit readiness and closure of audit findings.
- Monitor workplace safety, security and quality assurance standards.
- Ensure operational documentation, SOPs and work instructions remain current and effective.
- Drive continuous improvements in governance and risk management practices.
- Support the Project Director in implementing strategic initiatives across the business unit.
- Lead cross-functional projects involving digital transformation, automation or process redesign.
- Evaluate operational data and performance trends to drive evidence-based decision making.
- Identify emerging business risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Champion innovation and operational best practices across the portfolio.
- Support tender preparation, transition planning and mobilization of new projects.
- Participate in customer presentations, operational solutioning and business development discussions.
- Identify opportunities to upsell or expand existing client engagements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including HR, Finance, Procurement, IT and Quality to deliver integrated solutions.
Skills & Experience
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in project management, operations management, BPO, facilities management, security operations or service delivery environments.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience leading operational teams.
- Proven track record in managing operational and financial performance, client relationships, business transformation initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent professional certifications will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting and project profitability.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer relationship management skills.
- Experience driving operational excellence, digital transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and team development capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI is advantageous.
