Duties & Responsibilities
As the largest advanced security service provider in Asia, Certis Group continually develops and adopts a diverse range of cutting-edge technologies to improve the effectiveness of our security services, leveraging our unique Ops-Tech expertise. As a System Integrator, your primary role is as a professional engineer performing duties requiring the application of mature professional engineering knowledge. With scope for individual accomplishment and coordination of more difficult assignments, you will deal with problems for which it is necessary to modify established guides and devise new approaches. You may make some original contribution or apply new professional engineering approaches. Recommendations may be reviewed for soundness of judgement but are usually regarded as technically accurate and feasible. You will make responsible decisions on matters assigned, including the establishment of professional engineering standards and procedures, consults, recommends and advises in speciality engineering areas. Work is carried out within broad guidelines requiring conformity with overall objectives, relative priorities and necessary cooperation with other units.
- Ensuring quality and effective technical solutioning are designed and implemented effectively - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly with programme stakeholders.
- Supporting the programme management team in technical aspects of technical solution analysis, design, planning, coordination, integration, implementation, testing, commissioning, and operation support for systems and/or sub-systems of programmes, that are effective in addressing requirements, secure-by-design and compliant with policies, standards, and industry best practices.
- Supporting the programme management team to prepare, author, update, and upkeep technical and definition documents to support programme delivery and operations.
- Supporting the programme management team by providing technical analysis, support, research, and solutioning for technical aspects of programmes.
- Supporting the programme management team in technical aspects such as cyber security/privacy risks, compliance, issue, inventory, configuration, source codes, knowledge base, support, and change management for programmes.
- Supporting programme delivery by provisioning, installing, configuring, hardening, monitoring, and administrating technical systems, solutions, AWS Cloud infrastructure to support programmes.
- Supporting the programme management team to synergise systems/solutions delivery and their dependencies across programmes and challenge the status quo to achieve continuous improvement, operational efficiencies and effectiveness.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary education qualifications - Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience in application development with exposure to end-to-end software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge and/or practical experience in one or more of following areas are desirable:
- Coding (such as C#, Java, JavaScript) for Mobile and Web Applications
- DevOps/DevSecOps
- Virtualisation and/or Cloud Computing (such as AWS, Azure)
- Database and Storage
- Middleware and Services
- Cybersecurity (such as best practices and secure coding)
- Windows/Linux server administration
- Hardware, Infrastructure and Network
- Software/Systems integration across one or more software/hardware components
- Familiarity with project management methodology and lifecycle would be an advantage.
- Good analytical skills in diagnosing technical issues and ability to offer advisories and support.
